Revisiting

With the new year, felt like revisiting my old journal site. You know...new years resolutions and all that. Here in Albany for break, so free time aplenty. Kind of weird to not be home, makes my senior year here all the more "real." Went home for break, which was (surprisingly) really nice. Never expected to enjoy myself quite so much. Been hectic since I've been back, working 9-5. Been applying to graduate programs for Library Science and Government and Politics. My top choices are here and St. John's...so we'll see.

oh, and by the way, Albany in January...gorgeous.
Snow's beautiful...and since we've no place to go, let it snow let it snow let it snow :)

Poe

Dragged down by words...the words of Poe, specifically. First midterm for the summer tomorrow...should be fine, just depressed by Poe's depression.

Anyways, the midterm marks the halfway point for the class...and my return to late nights and relatively early mornings, instead of EARLY. Can't wait!

Job interview Tuesday...perfect for me (keep your fingers crossed)

Walmart trip today, to pick up a few necessities. Yes, me and Natalie have OCD...and of course, the weirdos were out...always fun times.

For now, leave you with a few lines from a fave of mine:
"dim vales-and shadowy floods-
and cloudy-looking woods,
whose forms we can't discover
for the tears that drip all over." -Poe, Fairy Land

That's all she wrote...for now at least.

Beginnings

Ok, so I figured I would start over...with a journal that everyone could see. this summer is gonna be crazy, and someone suggested that i put what i had to say online for everyone to read.

So far, life's been crazy. gram had triple bypass yesterday...she's doing well so far (thank goodness). Found a good way of coping (that isn't eating)...the gym. Yeah, shocking right? But I've found that its actually calming to go and work out all my "woes." So lets hope that I can continue. Like Steph said, it's all about making a "life choice." guess that's kind of where I'm heading.

So...Empire is awesome. Just thought I'd share. Love my apt, love the "roomies," etc. Just loving life here in Albany, in general. So glad I chose to be here. So great for my state of mind.

class, however, is not. trying to catch up on the readings, midterm on thursday...summer classes...they aren't so great.

but enough for now, got things to do, places to go, people to see.

for now...that's all she wrote.
